Frequently Asked Questions

  • Where are we going to shoot?
Certainly not. Lonneke takes you everywhere. All you need is a phone with a (reasonably) good camera! If you have a professional camera, that's also fine. She teaches you to photograph with what you have.
  • What to do in bad weather when we shoot outside?
Whether it's cloudy or sunny, both are good. My preference is often to shoot in the shade or when it is cloudy, unless we are shooting during the golden hour. If bad weather is forecast, i.e. if it really rains, we will be contacted about this a week to a few days before the appointment. We will then reschedule the shoot and immediately set a new shoot date.
  • Can I get the unedited (RAW) photos/videos?
I often get questions about this and that is understandable. Most customers have no idea how my workflow works. I do not provide unedited (RAW) photos/videos. I think it is important that you understand the reason for this. That is why you will find it explained in 3 headings below. Post-processing Sometimes I consciously shoot in a certain way, because you know what you are going to do with it in your post-production. For example, I may deliberately under or overexpose to correct this later, so with a purpose. If someone else then starts working with those images, that person might think that you have no idea at all. Or if that person has no idea about it, he or she could see all these images as failures. Selection of images When you work for a client, you usually decide in advance how many photos or videos you will ultimately take. This is of course a much lower number than the number of images you actually shoot during the assignment. Every video or photographer, no matter how professional, shoots photos that do not make it to the final selection. This is because you are always critical of the images and certain images do not meet the requirements we set for the work. A client who takes post-processing into his own hands may have a higher demand for quantity than for quality, which means that many images may be included in the selection that the video or photographer himself would not have used. Half work To give you an idea: You don't ask the baker for his dough to bake the bread yourself. At a restaurant you don't go home with the loose ingredients to put together that delicious soup yourself. You don't ask a painter for a sketch and then finish the painting yourself. Post-processing is part of my working method, style and creativity as a video and photographer and is therefore always included in the price.
  • We'll be done early. Will I get a discount?
In principle, you sleep in a room with 1 other person. The loft is one large space with several 'rooms'. for 1 person.
  • What exactly do you mean by 'photo editing' or 'color editing and color correction' for videos?
Certainly not. Lonneke takes you everywhere. All you need is a phone with a (reasonably) good camera! If you have a professional camera, that's also fine. She teaches you to photograph with what you have.
  • How long does a shoot take?
Certainly not. Lonneke takes you everywhere. All you need is a phone with a (reasonably) good camera! If you have a professional camera, that's also fine. She teaches you to photograph with what you have.
  • What kind of clothes do I wear when I am in front of the camera or the models in question?
It is good to know that small stripes or busy (small) prints on clothing often do not look good on images. I recommend using natural tones and not black or white. I also advise against large logos or striking prints. Unless there is a specific thought behind it or there is a fashion shoot, it is a different story of course.
